Thanksgiving Dinner

My dearest girlfriends and I celebrated our 17th year last month. That long, yes! We are truly blessed to have this kind of friendship. Our place in Fairview has always been an option whenever we plan of having an outdoor dinner party for our anniversary or holiday celebrations. I always get excited being the hostess for them. You should know that I love being passionate about the things that make me happy.  Hosting intimate parties for families and close friends is one of those things. It's tiring sometimes though. Spell HAGGARD. They can be very 'demanding' with their needs but I'm not complaining, just saying. I love you, guys!

For this year, I thought of throwing a thanksgiving dinner for us. It's my way of giving my thanks for the gift of friendship that I always receive from them. And with the help of my supermom, we came up with these nice party details. Enjoy!

Triple threat: used bottles with anthuriums, Mom's harvest centerpiece and basket of fruit harvest

 Maple leaf place mats

 Vintage table napkin

 The table set-up

Supermom, tired but still looking so lovely

Sad that we're not complete this year.

Let's try again in 2012.

Sunny Cebu

I got to spend my long weekend with hubby in the Queen of South. It was his 31st birthday celebration. The trip was my gift for him. It was my second time in Cebu. After spending our first night at a nice hotel, we aimed to spend a few days on a beautiful island called Bantayan. Typhoon Mina didn't allow us though. Good thing, I'm a heavy packer! I was able to squeeze in some city tour clothes, which made hubby complain about how big and heavy our checked-in bag was. Sorry, love. <3

Going there

Pearl Farm

I've recently spent a lovely weekend bonding with my mom at Pearl Farm in Davao. Mom and I had a great mom-daughter time at the beach. See, we are not always in sync. Tien knew that. In fact, we share a lot of arguments about almost everything. We are both tough to handle. But that weekend was different. We created new memories together. She's really the perfect mom for me.

Now, that I'm in a reminiscing mood, I noticed that all my outfits during that beach weekend were from her closet. How convenient it is to have a stylish mom! She's really an inspiration to me. Young or old, all women must be in their comfortable and fashionable clothing pieces! Comfort and fashion combined doesn't entail spending a lot, believe me.

Touch Down Pearl Farm.

Jumpsuit: Sweet (from Mom's closet)

Leaving Pearl Farm

Crochet top: No brand (from Mom's closet) / Shorts: Bongo (Turkey) / Slippers: Havaianas in Metallic Violet / Necklace: Boracay souvenir shop

I may have my list of fashion icons (that includes Nicole Richie and the Olsen twins), Mom is surely at the top. I owe my fashion taste from her. She's 60 and still rocking that denim vest! Cheers to you Mommy! May you buy more amazing pieces for yourself and for me! :)
